You will fly in and out of the Merida airport on the western end of the Yucatan.  We are lodging our duck hunters in the Merida area. This is the winter home to millions of blue wing teal. These extremely fast flyers are among the most sporting of the North American ducks. No where else on this continent are they as abundant and available as they are in this area.

Another tremendous advantage this area provides, is that there is plenty of prime teal habitat to accommodate the huge populations of ducks.  This means you are able to enjoy both morning and afternoon duck hunting as well as a variety of duck hunting venues.

The teal are hunted in the flooded mangrove swamps along the ocean in the northwest corner of the Yucatan peninsula. Also, there are times when the flooded rice fields provide incredible concentrations of ducks seldom seen anywhere else in the world.

Mayan Indians, whose families have hunted the area's swamps for centuries provide much of the guiding. They are excellent callers and take extreme pride in providing quality hunting.
